The 966's emphasis on photos also shows in its PictBridge connector for printing directly from cameras, its card slots for printing from memory cards, and its 2.4-inch screen for previewing photos before printing. It also offers infinitely better water resistance-replacing no water resistance at all with nearly waterproof photos. In particular, the 966 produces better photo and graphics quality than its predecessor, the Dell Photo All-In-One 964 Printer. Fortunately, the improvements are more than worth sacrificing a little speed for.

The same situation is true for Dell's new high-end ink jet AIO-the Dell Photo All-In-One 966 Printer ($358 direct as tested, with an $80 network card and a $79 print duplexer). I recently reviewed the Dell Photo All-In-One 926 Printer and was surprised to find it slower than the model it replaced, the 924 (though it made up for that with additional features). Best Hosted Endpoint Protection and Security Softwareĭell's latest ink jet all-in-ones (AIOs) have shown a peculiar backward trend in speed.
